Somewhere east of Thompkins Square Park, probably on 9th or 10th?

Midtown, from the 14th floor.
And - water towers!

Charles Scribner's Sons Building, from 5th between 47/48th Streets
I've been going on random walks in the city lately (now that the weather have warmed up!), and I've noticed my interest in hand-painted, old, or quirky signage. The Charles Scribner's Sons used to be a publisher in the States and printed a large number of religious and reference titles; it underwent a few change-of-hands in the late 1970's and early 80's, and is now owned by Simon & Schuster. One of the few non-blurry photos from the Empire State Building. I think I had the camera pointed at the Times Square area in this shot, and the greenishly-lit area void of skyscrapers is Bryant Park.

Somewhere on either Broadway or 5th Ave near 22/23rd Street

Mount Olive Pentecostal Church, Worcester
I don't know why, but this church felt homey and formidable all at once to me.

Driving eastward to Tahoe
The original is actually a very blah, foggy color, but this is what I saw in my head when I looked out the window and saw the barn-like building in the middle of all the tall grasses. Make your own vintage »

Back of my previous apartment, from the roof
I don't usually go around taking pictures of other people's residences at night, but that night was supposed to be the peak of the 2009 Perseid Meteor Shower, so I climbed up to the rooftop. There was too much light pollution for shooting stars, but I got some fun pictures out of it!

My favorite part of Astoria: The red-and-white smokestacks
I have no idea with whom they belong to, but I looked for them every morning and evening to and from work.

Madison Square Park, west side
Typical me: Crooked horizon and missing top end of the building in subject. Maybe I should stop fighting it and just call it a "style".

Not drunk but might as well have been!
