Door, somewhere in New York
No idea where this was taken, not even a clue as to which borough I was in. It just felt very movie-like.

Chinatown, late afternoon, sudden rain.
Somehow the rain brought out the gold of the late afternoon sun that I hardly see anymore in the usually grey New York. Everywhere I looked was beautiful for those few minutes while the rain lasted.

That's my friend HQ on the right shielding me from the rain. I owe these pictures to her because I was staring in 360-degree awe at the gold and hadn't even thought of taking pictures until she said, "Damn, I wish I had a camera with me." That snapped me into action pretty quickly.

Why is the image altered? Because sometimes that's how I see my world - sometimes I live in a Polaroid, other times I'm in a bleak, purple-blue world, or a dreamy golden-pink snowglobe depending on the mood and environment. And once in a while, when the light is right, I live in a beautiful black and white still.
