Exploding Couture at the David H. Koch Theater
Suspended installation with stage costumes and accessories by E. V. Day. I went on Free Public Viewing night, which coincided with their Jewish Singles Night, so until I realized what was going on, I didn't understood why I was the only one looking up and everyone else was looking at everyone else. For me, the most memorable part of this portion of the show was the violence and the sound; the crinkling-rumble of the mylar being body-slammed into while it swung thrillingly-dangerously over your head.




This portion was silky, alluring, and slightly disturbing. Nympth-like female performers in wet/sheer garments glided across a giant pool of water hanging a feet or two above the audience.
