I don't usually go around taking pictures of other people's residences at night, but that night was supposed to be the peak of the 2009 Perseid Meteor Shower, so I climbed up to the rooftop. There was too much light pollution for shooting stars, but I got some fun pictures out of it!

Why is the image altered? Because sometimes that's how I see my world - sometimes I live in a Polaroid, other times I'm in a bleak, purple-blue world, or a dreamy golden-pink snowglobe depending on the mood and environment. And once in a while, when the light is right, I live in a beautiful black and white still.
